接枝聚合物的合成：聚丁二烯與苯乙烯、丙烯腈接枝是ABS生產(chǎn)工藝中的核心單元。粒徑呈雙峰分布的聚丁二烯膠乳連續(xù)送入乳液接枝反應(yīng)器與苯乙烯和丙烯腈單體混合物進行接枝共聚反應(yīng)。單體與聚丁二烯之比提高則接枝聚合物和SAN共聚物的分子量及接枝度增加，內(nèi)部接枝率一般隨橡膠粒徑的增加和橡膠交聯(lián)密度的降低而增加。在粒徑和橡膠交聯(lián)密度恒定時接枝度和接枝密度是決定ABS產(chǎn)品性能的因素。

SAN共聚物的合成：苯乙烯與丙烯晴共聚物合成方法有三種：乳液法、懸浮法和本體法。本體法采用熱引發(fā)、連續(xù)聚合，產(chǎn)品純凈、質(zhì)量較高，污染少，在SAN合成中正取代懸浮法，尤其在大型ABS生產(chǎn)裝置上。懸浮法采用引發(fā)劑，間歇聚合、產(chǎn)品不如本體法純凈，產(chǎn)生的廢水對環(huán)境有污染，但工藝簡單，流程短，投資少，聚合熱易撒出，對中小型裝置而言懸浮法較為經(jīng)濟。乳液法流程長，技術(shù)落后，發(fā)達國家已基本淘汰。
